Event Director Paddy O’Neill said: "Saudi Arabia is the MENA leader in construction projects with 35% market share, and the Saudi Arabia Coatings Show is a perfect gateway to business opportunities in this region. We are excited to welcome our exhibitors and visitors from across the globe and look forward to everyone having a successful time at the show.”
Under Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 strategy, the Kingdom intends to invest US$346bn (SAR1.3trn) in the industrial sector in the coming years, with 800 industrial projects to be announced in 2023. Projects include the US$8bn Qiddiya project; some eight new cities, mostly on the Red Sea coast; and major projects are also planned for the capital Riyadh, with its population projected to grow from 7.5M to 17M by 2030. Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and Neom projects, including The Line, present a host of opportunities for global coatings companies across a range of segments.
This anticipated boom in the national construction sector is projected to drive the value of the country’s paints and coatings market to US$13.4bn by 2027, with an estimated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.3% between 2020 and 2027. That said, most associated paint and coatings orders have yet to be made, making this a crucial and exciting time to get involved in Saudi Arabia’s coatings industry.
