allnex considers itself as a global pioneer in the development of waterborne coatings technology.

By combining the wealth of knowledge from its heritage companies, we have been able to design a new creative flow in our research and development, which is now materialising as we present our next-generation of products to the market.

Due to the change of the regulatory environment, joinery and deco markets have seen a shift to waterborne resins and currently, one of the leading technologies is 1K Waterborne Acrylic.

Therefore, allnex has developed a new high-class waterborne acrylic resin: the SETAQUA® 6799 –which is the ideal choice to meet the needs of the joinery and decorative wood markets.

The resin has a surfactant free stabilisation mechanism that allows broad formulation latitude and shows outstanding application properties when brushed or rolled.

Typically in pigmented systems, SETAQUA 6799 provides excellent gloss retention while the exceptional outdoor durability performance is significantly above the current market level, which has been proven in accelerated weathering, as well as in real outdoor exposure.

SETAQUA 6799 has the following features:- Excellent early water resistance- Very low dirt pick-up- Excellent outdoor durability and elasticity – Non-yellowing- Good transparency and clarity- Low VOC, surfactant-free

Marketing Manager EMEA, Tom Vanheertum says: "We have a longstanding reputation in the development of acrylic resins and SETAQUA 6799 promises to be the next resin in sequence with ultimate quality and being an excellent solution to the joinery and deco market.

"It also contributes to the important sustainability need of our industry as it is possible to formulate zero-VOC and ECO-label compliant.
