Nouryon, a global specialty chemicals leader, has won 14 awards from the American Chemistry Council (ACC) in recognition of its commitment to keeping employee health and safety at the forefront of its operations. Twelve of the awards were for Excellence and two were Honor Responsible Care® Facility Safety Awards.
The announcement of the awards was made at the 2021 Responsible Care and Sustainability Virtual Conference and Expo, sponsored by the ACC.
"We are extremely proud of our entire Nouryon team for continuing our commitment to employee health and safety, especially during the challenges in 2020 as a result of COVID-19,” said Robert King, Senior Vice President and Chief Integrated Supply Chain Officer at Nouryon. "These awards further solidify Nouryon’s focus on exceptional quality, service and performance to our customers and to each other, and align with our safety ambition of zero injuries, waste and harm.”
Nouryon was recognised for its exceptional employee health and safety performance, as well as its commitment to sustainability by the ACC for the following facilities in the US:

"Operating in a safe and reliable way is inherent to Nouryon’s company values of Aiming high, Owning it, and Doing it right, and our active participation in the ACC makes receiving awards for outstanding safety performance that much more meaningful to us.”
Nouryon recently released its Sustainability Report 2020. Last year, the company’s recordable injury rates reached a record low and Nouryon achieved a 50% reduction in Process Safety Events, ranking it in the top quartile for its people safety performance.
