Toyo Ink SC Holdings Co Ltd, the parent company of the Toyo Ink Group of Japan, recently announced that its CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Report 2018 was honoured for reporting excellence at the 4th Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA).

Organised by Singapore’s CSRWorks International, ASRA celebrates best practices in sustainability reporting and is the highest recognition for corporate reporting in the region.

Toyo Ink SC Holdings received the "Highly Commended” or runner-up award in two categories, "Asia’s Best Materiality Reporting” and "Asia’s Best Report Design.”

ASRA’s independent judging panel followed rigorous criteria as it sifted through nearly 400 entries to select the winners.

A record 82 companies from 14 countries made it to this year’s final round across 17 categories.

ASRA 2018 winners were announced last month at an awards ceremony held at the Eden Hall, the British High Commissioner’s Office in Singapore.

"We are proud to receive two Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards in our first year participating in the prestigious ASRA competition,” said Kazuhito Nakano, Managing Director in charge of CSR at Toyo Ink SC Holdings.

"Sustainability is an integral part of Toyo Ink Group businesses.

"This recognition underscores our commitment towards sustainable practices and our leadership role in sustainability reporting.

"Encouraged by this honour, we will continue to focus on proactively disclosing information on our CSR activities and to enhance the quality of reporting content.”

This is the second recognition for the Group’s CSR Report 2018 in recent months.

In February, it received the Excellence Award in the Environmental Reporting category at the 22nd Environmental Communication Awards, an awards competition sponsored by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment and the Global Environmental Forum.

Toyo Ink Group’s CSR Report is published annually in English, Japanese and Chinese.
